Bryan Miranda, Chief Volunteer Officer of YMCA of the Sandhills, announced Jeff Darling is the Ys next CEO. The process was supported by the YMCA of the USA CEO Search Team in partnership with the state Alliance. Former CEO Rick Houp, who led this Y for 15 years, retired after 27 years with the Y on March 31.
Darling will begin his new role in the Sandhills on June 1. He has been a leader in youth and family serving non-profits for more than 31 years. Most recently he served as Vice President at the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles. His passion for seeing kids' and families' lives change for the good is evident in the way he leads in program development and implementation. Whether through childcare, youth sports, senior programs, or health and wellness, he firmly believes the YMCA environment is strategic in helping children and adults live out the core values of caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility.
